Description

The Biscayne corridor of Miami's Upper East Side sometimes referred to as the MiMo neighborhood (Miami Modern), is a treasure trove of the 1950s to the present-era art, architecture, and history. The Upper Eastside is situated on Biscayne Bay, north of Edgewater, east of Little Haiti, south of Miami Shores, and south of the community. Magnolia Park, Bay Point, Morningside, Bayside, Belle Meade, Shorecrest, and Palm Grove are among the communities that make up this area, which is arranged geographically from south to north and east to west. There are several art galleries, stores, and restaurants in the MiMo District along Biscayne Boulevard in the region. Palm tree-lined boulevards and panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean may be found here. Little River, a waterway that originates in Biscayne Bay and passes through northern Miami, serves as the border's physical marker. The Upper East Side is a great place to live since it has several parks, water access, restaurants, shopping, culture, some outstanding schools, and a great central position just outside of Miami's metropolitan core. The Upper East Side is mostly a residential area made up of historic single-family homes from the 1920s to the 1940s. Biscayne Boulevard runs through the neighborhood's center and is lined by mid and high-rise office complexes, hotels, and apartments. Along Biscayne Boulevard, the MiMo Historic District is home to a significant number of the 1950s and 1960s MiMo hotels that have been conserved and are currently undergoing renovation to become shops, restaurants, and boutique hotels.
