What Will Buyers of New Homes Want in 2022?

What qualities do purchasers seek out in the characteristics of the house of their dreams? Is there a generational difference? It vary, but according to National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) experts, walk-in closets and laundry rooms are still popular across all age groups.
In part because of the epidemic, some traits rose in popularity, while many tried-and-true preferences remained popular. The average size of a new home has climbed to 2,524 square feet, according to NAHB, as a consequence of rising demand for larger homes, suburban areas, and more outdoor amenities. Additionally, new-home purchasers like houses with four or more bedrooms (46%) and at least three baths (34%).
But desires differ between generations. Nevertheless, all generations ranked the following five features as being essential: walk-in pantries, ceiling fans, patios, and laundry facilities.

Both groups opt for homes with modern or contemporary exteriors built for numerous generations in addition to wanting more area and bedrooms.
